1. Concrete base;
2. Primer: Hauptmann Epo 420/Epo W 320
3. Base coat: Hauptmann Epo Farbig/Epo W Farbig + coloured chips
4. Finishing coat: Hauptmann Lack 2K matte varnish
The base should be load-bearing, durable and resistant to deformation, free of separating particles, dust, oils, grease, products of rubber wear and other substances that prevent adhesion. Tensile strength of the base surface should be on average 1.5 N/mm2, compressive strength - not less than 25 N/mm2.
Surfaces should have an equilibrium moisture content:
Before application on ceramic coatings, old coatings, levelling substances indoors, materials should be tested for compatibility with each other, if necessary, apply a test coating.
Bases should be suitably prepared to meet all of the above requirements, e.g. by shot blasting or diamond grinding. Chips and damaged areas of the base should be repaired with Hauptmann Epo 320.
Application examples for Hauptmann A6 flooring
Priming:
Apply Hauptmann Epo 420/Epo W 320 product as a primer with a rubber wiper and roll with an epoxy roller until an even surface is obtained. Product consumption is 0.2-0.4 kg/m2 depending on the surface.
Base coat:
Hauptmann Epo Farbig/Epo W Farbig product is spread over the surface with a toothed paint scraper, resulting coating is rolled with a needle roller. After laying the base coat, fill it with colored chips without waiting for it to dry. After the resin has cured, remove loose chips with brushes or vacuum cleaner. Product consumption is 1 - 2 kg/m2.
Finishing coat:
Apply Hauptmann Lack 2K product with a polyurethane roller evenly in perpendicular directions. Product consumption is 0.1-0.2 kg/m2.
All the above technical data were obtained when testing the product under laboratory conditions (+20°C). Minor deviations from the values can occur during product processing at the facility. Minor deviations in product color from different batches are possible. Product from the same batch should be processed on adjacent surfaces.
Under the influence of ultraviolet radiation and atmospheric loads the color of epoxy coating may change. Colorfastness of the coating can be improved by applying a protective UV-absorbing polyurethane-based sealing coating.
