Installation of antistatic current-removing poured coatings in rooms with stringent requirements for static electricity accumulation, including explosion and fire safety.
Two-component epoxy conductive primer for the execution of polymer coatings on concrete with requirements regarding static charge on the surface.
The base should be load-bearing, durable and resistant to deformation, free of separating particles, dust, oils, grease, products of rubber wear and other substances that prevent adhesion. Tensile strength of the base surface should average 1.5 N/mm2, compressive strength is not less than 25 N/mm2. Surfaces should have an equilibrium moisture content:
concrete - max. 6% by weight - cement screed - max. 6% by weight
Before application on ceramic coatings, old coatings, levelling substances and poured asphalt indoors, materials should be tested for compatibility with each other, if necessary, apply a test coating.
Through appropriate measures, prepare the base so that it meets the required qualities (shot blasting, diamond grinding).
Add the hardener (component B) completely to the base mass (component A), then mix with a construction mixer at low speed (not more than 300-400 rpm), pour into another container and mix again thoroughly. Apply the ready product immediately after mixing to the prepared surface and spread with a special tool.
82:18 by weight fraction.
At a temperature of +20 °C and relative humidity of 60% the mortar can be used for about 60 minutes. Higher temperatures reduce and lower temperatures extend the mortar viability.
Use special protective equipment when working.
Application:
Normally, Hauptmann Epo W AS 320 product is spread over the base surface with a rubber wiper and then rolled with an epoxy roller. If there are potholes, irregularities or sinks on the concrete surface, they should first be primed with an epoxy primer, e.g. Hauptmann Epo 420.
For making current-carrying circuit, it is necessary to glue the copper tape along the room perimeter to the surface primed with Hauptmann Epo W AS 320, at a distance of 0.5 m from the walls with lead-out to grounding bus. Inside the circuit, it is necessary to glue copper tape mesh with a cell side of 3, 6 or 9 m, depending on the room size, mesh edges should be brought onto the circuit. When using self-adhesive copper tape, a rubber roller should be used to press the tape completely to the base.
Hauptmann Epo W AS 320 conductive primer is applied on top of the finished copper circuit, strictly according to the recommended consumption rate. Uniformity of composition distribution shall be observed. For application use a nylon roller with bristles length of 8-12 mm. Hauptmann Epo AS is the finishing coat for this system.
Work breaks:
The break time between work approaches at +20 °C should be a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 48 hours. In case of longer intervals the previously applied coat should be sanded down and primed again. Specified time intervals are shorter at higher temperatures and longer at lower temperatures. During the drying process, ventilation of the room should be monitored so that evaporating moisture is ventilated. Uneven application and insufficient ventilation may result in a difference in the degree of surface gloss.
Processing temperature:
Material, ambient air and base temperatures should be between +8 and +30 °C. Relative humidity should not exceed 80%. The base temperature should be at least 3 degrees above the dew point temperature.
Drying time:
At temperature of +20 °C and relative humidity of 60%:
- surface is available for walking after 24 hours,
- for mechanical loads after 3 days,
- full loads after 7 days.
Drying time increases at lower temperatures.
All the above technical data were obtained when testing the product with standard colors in the laboratory (+ 20°C). Minor deviations from the values can occur during product processing at the facility.
Abrasive mechanical loads result in wear marks on the coating surface.
Under the influence of ultraviolet radiation and atmospheric loads the color of epoxy coating may change.
Working tools and possible contaminants should be cleaned immediately after operation with solvent.
Gloves, goggles, splash protection, long sleeve clothing or armbands. Additional protection (respirator) is required when spraying the material.
Product consumption:
Material consumption depends on the base structure and is about 0.15 - 0.4 kg/m 2 per coat.
Product storage:
Store in sealed factory packaging in cool, enclosed warehouses at a temperature of at least +5 °C.
Shelf life is at least 6 months.
