1. Concrete base;
2. Primer: Hauptmann Epo W AS 320/Epo 420
3. Finishing coat: Hauptmann Epo AS.
The base should be load-bearing, durable and resistant to deformation, free of separating particles, dust, oils, grease, products of rubber wear and other substances that prevent adhesion. Tensile strength of the base surface should be on average 1.5 N/mm2, compressive strength - not less than 25 N/mm2. Surfaces should have an equilibrium moisture content:
concrete, maximum 4% by weight;
cement screed, maximum 4% by weight.
Before application on ceramic coatings, old coatings, levelling substances indoors, materials should be tested for compatibility with each other, if necessary, apply a test coating.
Bases should be suitably prepared to meet all of the above requirements, e.g. by shot blasting or diamond grinding. Chips and damaged areas of the base should be repaired with Hauptmann Epo 320.
Priming:
For making current-carrying circuit, it is necessary to glue the copper tape along the room perimeter to Hauptmann Epo W AS 320 primer, at a distance of 0.5 m from the walls with lead-out to grounding bus. Inside the circuit, it is necessary to glue copper tape mesh with a cell side of 3, 6 or 9 m, depending on the room size, mesh edges should be brought onto the circuit. When using self-adhesive copper tape, a rubber roller should be used to press the tape completely to the base. Apply Hauptmann Epo W AS 320 conductive primer on the copper tape. Product consumption is 0.2 - 0.4 kg/m2 depending on the surface.
Finishing coat:
Hauptmann Epo AS coating is applied by pouring and spreading over the surface using a toothed paint scraper with 2-4 mm triangular teeth. Polymer coat thickness is determined by tooth height and tool inclination. Product consumption is 2-5 kg/m2.
For deaeration, i.e. removal of air bubbles, and material compaction, the needle roller is used for polymer coatings. It is necessary to roll the entire surface in staggered order several times during the compound lifetime.
All the above technical data were obtained when testing the product under laboratory conditions (+20°C). Minor deviations from the values can occur during product processing at the facility. Minor deviations in product color from different batches are possible. Product from the same batch should be processed on adjacent surfaces.
Under the influence of ultraviolet radiation and atmospheric loads the color of epoxy coating may change. Colorfastness of the coating can be improved by applying a protective UV-absorbing polyurethane-based sealing coating.
