1. Concrete base;
2. Primer: Hauptmann Grund;
3. Base coat: Hauptmann Cemtop 340.
The base should be load-bearing, durable and resistant to deformation, free of separating particles, dust, oils, grease, products of rubber wear and other substances that prevent adhesion. Tensile strength of the base surface should be on average 1.5N/mm2, compressive strength - not less than 15N/mm2. Surfaces should have an equilibrium moisture content:
Before application on ceramic coatings, old coatings, levelling substances, and poured asphalt indoors, materials should be tested for compatibility with each other, if necessary, apply a test coating.
Bases should be suitably prepared to meet all of the above requirements, e.g. by shot blasting or diamond grinding.
Door sills, steps, traprocks and storm-water inlets should be insulated with a foam barrier. Large surfaces should be divided into sections. Typical site width is 8-12 m, depending on pump capacity.
Priming:
Hauptmann Grund primer is applied using a velour roller. The product consumption is 0.2-0.4 kg/m2 depending on the base.
Base coat:
Hauptmann Cemtop 340 can be mixed in automatic concrete mixer with a pump and spread over the surface, the resulting coating is rolled with a needle roller. Mixed material should be used within 15 minutes. Product consumption is 8-15 kg/m2 depending on the given thickness.
Recommended thickness is 4-10 mm in one operation. The maximum thickness is 25mm. Under normal conditions, it can be walked on in 1-2 hours, and after one week, depending on site conditions, it can be subjected to heavy loads. Dried and newly laid product can be painted with Hauptmann Lack 2K or Hauptmann Epo Farbig/Epo W Farbig epoxy to protect it from dirt that penetrates the cement screed.
All the above technical data were obtained when testing the product under laboratory conditions (+20°C). Minor deviations from the values can occur during product processing at the facility.
